CUSTOM DRAPERIES

FULL VIEW

Underneath an opaque sheer for light control, then 2 side panels and the box pleated top treatment forms a diamond effect.

TOP VIEW

The 3" band is the same fabric as the draperies and so is the welting across the top of the valance. It's all in the detail!

FULL VIEW

This is interesting. The top swag looks suspended and it allows the wall color to show through at the top.

TOP VIEW

This is done by using a velcro rod on the ends of the valance.

FULL VIEW

We have repeated the same fabrics to show you how one fabic can have many looks.

TOP VIEW

The top here is simply a flat piece of lined fabric with a silk swag over top and once again the welting finishes the tailored and custom look.

FULL VIEW

Yet another style with the same fabrics.

TOP VIEW

The top treatment is so simple, just semi-circles layered and piped in a small cording.

FULL VIEW

Lots of detail here.

TOP VIEW

A covered board at the top of the valance, a faux roman effect and gathered silk sides. This is putting creativity to the test.

FULL VIEW

Using the same pewter silk we created another look by combining it with another complimentary fabric.

TOP VIEW

The top combines an under the drape faux roman and the top of the drapery panels have an attached V swag. It is set off with the crystal beads.

FULL VIEW

This bedroom is done in soft greens.

TOP VIEW

The top treatment is on a wood cornice, the swag effect hangs below the wood to give it the soft look we wanted and the sides are layered with 2 different fabrics and trims.

FULL VIEW

The fabric is a woven linen. Because it is sheer we had to line the wood cornice in a neutral fawn color and lay the linen over the top before upholstering it.

TOP VIEW

The side panels are pleated and layed over the top of the cornice to give a waterfall effct. This took careful planning and measuring to get it straight on the bottom. The client loved it and we were so pleased with the end result.

FULL VIEW

This treatment is in a childs room. Underneath is a wood blind for light control. The full closing draperies are black out lined for even more light control.

TOP VIEW

The panels are banded in the same stripe as the faux roman underneath the drape except we ran it sideways to keep it fun.

FULL VIEW

Pure silk delight! The under drape is a tone on tone stripe polyester. The one sided panel and opposite side jabot create the asymetrical effect.

TOP VIEW

The swag is trimmed in copper crystal beads and the over the pole look is rich and warm.

FULL VIEW

This is such a beautiful window treatment. The gathered café style sheer provides some privacy and light control while allowing the light to stream in at the top of the window.

TOP VIEW

The horizontal stripe was the perfect choice for these windows and the attached chocoloate brown swag completes the elegant look.

FULL VIEW

Not wanting to obstruct the outside view yet wanting an elegant treatment we achieved the clients wishes by simply adding panels in between the windows.

TOP VIEW

The draperies are attached by rings that hang from wood rod finials.

FULL VIEW

The crinkle fabric has a ballgown effect when pleated and hung on these windows.

TOP VIEW

To add a little color we used the fabric that is on the bed to create the V swags.

FULL VIEW

This is a beautiful older home and deserved something special. The full sheer is on a wood pole and so are the side panels.

TOP VIEW

To achieve this look we had double wood brackets custom milled.

FULL VIEW

Underneath silhouettes and on top a delicious valance.

TOP VIEW

The underneath panels are flat and then pleated, the side jabots and center pelmets are lined in a complimentary color and the top is finished with a small cording.

FULL VIEW

At almost 2 1/2 stories this Great Room window was a challenge. "Keep as much of the wood showing as possible" was the clients request. We dropped full side panels and then criss-crossed the fabric for the swag effect.

TOP VIEW

The rods and finials were extra large and very heavy and so the install was tricky but what a look!

FULL VIEW

When choosing fabric pay attention to the overfall design. In this case, with the large center flower the style choice was easy-feature the flower. The sheer is a woven eyelash with a hint of gold thread running through it.

TOP VIEW

Side panels were banded in the pink silk and then on to the top treatment where each individual piece of the valance had the flower featured and then banded in the pink silk. Loads of figuring and work but truly elegant.

FULL VIEW

The bay window has silhouettes, with an underneath faux roman and side panels on 2 separate rods.

ANOTHER VIEW

The side window compliments the larger one with a silhouette and roman topper.

FULL VIEW

Linen sheers are under the wide side panles. These panels have a double fabric effect by using a solid colored fabric underneath the sides and then adding a wide trim between the layers.

BOTTOM VIEW

The pleated puddle is the verfy essence of elegance.

FULL VIEW

This office/den has 2 full length windows with full closing draperies.

TOP VIEW

The banding on the sides of the draperies is complimneted by the buttons on the front of the goblet pleats.

FULL VIEW

This elaborate treatment is achieved by using 2 fabrics and 3 different trim styles.

TOP VIEW

We started with side panels in the main fabric. The top treatment has layers of flat panles with full pelmet sides and trim.

FULL VIEW

This bathroom is whimsicial with its sheer butterfly fabric. The sheer shower curtain has a plain white water proof liner.

TOP VIEW

The top treatment over the shower matches the one on the door. A beaded tassel adds to the color scheme. By the way this bathroom door goes out to the lower deck area and so is a very functional placement of the door for use in the summer time especially.

FULL VIEW

Chocolate velvet! This is decadent. The panels puddle on the floor creating perfect simple elegance.

TOP VIEW

The top is a box upholstered in chocolate and cream velvet, piped in a small cording and centered with a covered button.

Thought you'd like to see the other side of the room. Note how the toss pillows also have the chocolate and cream velvet.

Not unusual for an older home home to have a large heating unit under the winndow. We have a full operating roman blind for light control and privacy and the full silk panels are on fling rods. What that means is that when the heat isn't on we can have them in the postion shown and when the heat is on we can "fling" them open so as not to block the heat.

In this bedrrom we have day time privacy with the pleated balloon toppers and tunnel sheers. In the night time we can use the roller blind that is hidden under the balloon treatnent.

This top treatment is very playful. We chose the solid colors from the patterned fabric and created this layered and fun top treatment which is on a velcro rod..

This is just a box pleated topper. In between the pleats we sewed a solid colored fabric then pulled it back and fastened it with covered buttons. A new twist on a common style.

Fabulous wood trim-no need for lots of fabric. The silhouette blind is the enough coverage, however to add softness to the window we created what we call a gromet swag. It is attached with a brass hook and is quite stylized and simple as a window treatmnent.

By now you know how much we love the Huntger Douglas Silhouette Blinds. They often seem to be the perfect choice. In this Dining Room the contemporary look is achieved by using the Silhouettes and simple side panels on flat contemporary black wood and metal rods.
